The 2025 UniSport Nationals Triathlon was held as part of the Peoplecare\u00a0Triathlon Wollongong\u00a0this past weekend,\u00a0bringing together over 70\u00a0of the countrys top university athletes to compete across sprint and standard distances.<\/p>\n

Stand out performances from student athletes who podiumed for Unisport Nationals and\u00a0for the\u00a0Peoplecare Triathlon Wollongong\u00a0within the standard distance included Joshua Wooldridge, University of Technology Sydney with an impressive\u00a03rd place.<\/p>\n

For the hotly contested sprint distance Grace Kells, The University of Sydney, won and Annabelle McIntyre, University of Technology Sydney placed 2nd\u00a0in womens division;\u00a0while Logan Campbell, UNSW Sydney won and Cooper Lee, The University of Sydney placed 2nd\u00a0in the mens sprint distance.<\/p>\n

This year marked the introduction of a Multi Class category, highlighted by the participation and victory of Anu Francis, a Paralympic triathlete and passionate advocate for adaptive sport. Anu’s performance and her long-standing work with Triathlon Australia were instrumental in championing the inclusion of adaptive athletes in the UniSport Nationals.<\/p>\n

“Having athletes like Anu compete and lead change is exactly what UniSport stands for,” said\u00a0Christine Voge, General Manager of UniSports\u00a0Nationals Program. “We are proud to partner with Triathlon Australia and remain committed to expanding Multi Class opportunities into 2026 and beyond.”<\/p>\n

Wed like to\u00a0congratulate all athletes who took part in this years Nationals Triathlon, Voge continued,\u00a0there were some\u00a0outstanding performances across both the individual and team events.<\/p>\n

Special recognition goes to the University of Technology Sydney, who claimed the Womens Pennant, and The University of Sydney, who took out the Mens Pennant. The future of university triathlon in Australia is in strong hands.<\/p>\n
