The 2025 UniSport Nationals Cheer & Dance took place on Monday, 20 October at the Gold Coast Sports & Leisure Centre, bringing together university teams from across Australia to compete.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The event featured 225 competitors and 25 non-competing officials, representing six universities. Across the day, 35 routines were performed, showcasing the skill, athleticism, and creativity of Australia\u2019s top university cheer and dance teams. As the final event of the 2025 UniSport Nationals calendar, the competition provided an opportunity for competing universities to end the season on a high.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Monash University<\/strong> was crowned the overall champion, retaining their 2025 Nationals University Cheer Championship title and also winning the 2025 Nationals University Dance Championships.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the Overall Nationals University Cheer Championship Rankings, second place went to Deakin University<\/strong>, who returned to the competition for the first time since 2019, and Bond University<\/strong> finished third.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

For the Overall Nationals University Dance Championship Rankings, University of Technology Sydney<\/strong> came second, with Deakin University<\/strong> third.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This year also saw RMIT University make their debut at Nationals Cheer & Dance, further deepening the competition.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Beyond national glory, the Nationals Cheer & Dance event also carried international significance, forming part of the selection process for the 2026 FISU Cheerleading World University Championship, which will take place from 5-7 June in Gothenburg, Sweden.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 2025 UniSport Cheer & Dance Nationals concluded an exciting season, marking another milestone for university sport in Australia, showcasing the talent and dedication of the competing teams, and setting the stage for future competitions both nationally and internationally.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
