In one of the biggest upsets in New Balance University Basketball League (UBL) history, 8th seed The University of Melbourne (MELB) defeated top seed La Trobe University (LTU) 99\u201362 in their Quarter Final clash at La Trobe Sports Stadium.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The Minor Premiers, LTU, entered the Finals undefeated, but Melbourne\u2019s incredible shooting display flipped the script. The visitors caught fire from beyond the arc, draining four consecutive three-pointers in both the first and second quarters to seize control early. It was one of the most dominant long-range performances ever seen in Australian university basketball, as Melbourne booked their place in the Semi-Finals in emphatic fashion.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
